Genevieve Nnaji will be hoping to grab the award in this category for her debut production, ‘Road to Yesterday’ but no doubt faces stiff competition from fast rising actress, Adesua Etomi whose performance in ‘Falling’ made her a darling of many including landing her a place on the nominees list. Other contenders include Nse Ikpe Etim, Mary Lazarus, Belindah Effah and Fulu Mugovhani.
Best Overall Movie

Here Stephanie Okereke‘s Dry battles Freetown (Adam Abel and Garrett Batty), Ayanda (Sara Blecher), Road To Yesterday (Ishaya Bako), Silverain (Juliet Asante), House Arrest (Joseph Kenneth Ssebaggala) and Akin Omotoso‘s Tell Me Something Sweet.
Best Actor in a Comedy

It is a straight battle between Akpororo (Head Gone), IK Ogbonna (Stop) and Falz who got nominated for his acting debut in Jenifa’s Diary. Other nominees are Kelechi Udegbe (Officer Titus) and Bishop Imeh Umoh (Caught in the Act).
Best Actor in a Drama

For this category, veteran actor, Segun Arinze will be slugging it out with Van Vicker, Blossom Chukwujekwu, Mike Ezuruonye, Majid Michal and Daniel K Daniel.
Best Actress in a Comedy
It will be a real suprise if Funke Akindele does not win this category. However, she faces a tough challenge from Lepacious Bose (Being Mrs Elliot), Ini Edo (Desperate Housegirls), Abimbola Craig (Desperate Girl in Trasit) and Nana Mensah (An African City).
