An LA judge has given approval to Cheryl Cole’s lawyers to look into ‘The X Factor’ judges Paula Abdul’s and LA Reid’s contract earnings as the pop star steps us her £3.5 million compensation claim against show boss Simon Cowell.
Reports say Cheryl is refusing to settle out of court. ‘This paperwork is a clear sign that Cheryl wants her day in court. She is pushing for full fees… £2million, legal fees and a bonus, which could total £3.5million. Cheryl will learn what Simon earned and her co-stars too’, an insider told The Mirror.
Bad news for the press though: the judge has ruled that the details of Simon’s earnings must be kept private.
