International singer and songwriter, 2baba, has released an impressive collaboration with legendary Nigerian musician Bongos Ikwue whom he says influenced his career greatly.

The 45-year-old, widely regarded as one of Africa’s most decorated pop acts, premiered the new material on Wednesday, September 8, 2021.
Titled ‘Searching’, the track was produced by TBA while the video was directed by one of 2Baba’s favourites, Unlimited LA.
2baba who released seven albums between 2004 and 2020, was proud of recording with the music legend in the beautiful city of Otukpo where they’re both from.
“I had the absolute honour to record with the legend Bongos Ikwue @officialbongosikwue” he wrote on Instagram.
In a message to fans, he tried to showcase the rich heritage of Benue and the Idoma people.

“Let me take you on a trip to the beautiful city of Otukpo! The scenery, the people, the culture, the language, the customs, the talents”, he wrote hours after the song had been made available to the public.
The release of searching has been treated to positive reactions by a number of Nigeria’s music enthusiasts.
Responding to the 2face’s snippet of the video, Nollywood actor, Kunle Remi idolised the soloist as a legend.
Also responding, Mr Eazi wrote “Chai this verse too sweet” on Instagram.
His wife, Annie also commented saying, “Yayyy finally out @officialbongosikwue thank you so much Sir.”
