Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, widely known as Wizkid, was born July 16, 1990 in Lagos.

Fondly called Wizzy by friends, fans and associates, the Nigerian recording artist, songwriter and performer joined Banky W-led Empire Mates Entertainment in 2009.

He rose to prominence in 2010 with the release of the song, ‘Holla at Your Boy’ from his debut studio album, Superstar in 2011.
