A small passenger aircraft has crash landed close to Murtala Mohammed Domestic Airport (MM2) this morning Thursday, October 3, 2013, a witness tells NET.
Several unconfirmed reports say the plane belongs to Associated Airlines.
A source who is currently at the airport says the remains of recently deceased Ondo State Governor Olusegun Agagu and 20 other passengers including his family were on board while the plane crashed.
‘There are no survivors’, Mayowa, a self-employed booking agent told NET over the phone. ‘The place is filled with smoke. The fire brigade are here trying to quench the fire’.
The smoke was spotted kilometres away, as far as the Abeokuta Express Way, a NET reporter says.
Story developing.
