It’s raining melanin in Simone Biles’ latest swimsuit shoot for Sports Illustrated.


The shoot sees the 19-year-old Olympic gold medallist flaunting her incredibly toned bod in a variety of swim wears as she practised her gymnastic moves.


She was photographed in Houston, Texas by James Macari.


Simone was born in Ohio


She spent her early childhood in and out of foster care


Her mum was unable to take care of her or her other three siblings due to alcohol and drug addiction


Simone first tried gymnastics at age six


Two years later, she began training full time


At 15, she switched to home schooling and as a result, increased her training hours per week from 20 to 32 hours


The increased training hours greatly impacted on her career as she began making hay at meets


A year later in 2013, she won two gold medals at the World Championships


Three years later, she’s added eight more World Championships gold medals to the two won in Antwerp
