Over 2,000 attendees, including 16 artistes from across Africa and more than 100 delegates, are expected at the ninth edition of the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMA) in Lagos. The five‑day event, running from January 7 to 11, 2026, will take place across multiple locations in the city and will be livestreamed in 84 countries, giving a global audience a front-row seat to Africa’s biggest music celebration.
The week will also feature the Africa Music Business Summit, a key gathering for industry professionals to discuss strategy, innovation, and growth in the continent’s creative sector.
Highlights include music showcases and the main AFRIMA Awards ceremony at the Eko Convention Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos, celebrating outstanding musical talent from across Africa. Organisers say the partnership with the African Union Commission reinforces efforts to promote collaboration and expand global appreciation for African music.
Further details, including confirmed performers and the full programme, are expected in the coming weeks.
