To kickstart the TNS 2015 In Review series here is a compilation of what we think are the most beautiful movie posters of Nollywood films released in Nigeria in the outgoing year.

15. Stolen Lives
According to the producer, Emmanuel Williams, this movie took him three years to produce. It features Alexx Ekubo, IK Ogbonna, Ruth Kadiri, Omi Ugbeye, Beverly Naya, Jide Kosoko, Bukky Wright, Kunle Coker and more.
Black is beautiful. Always.
14. While You Slept
Produced by Ini Edo and directed by Desmond Elliot, While You Slept features, among others, Joseph Benjamin, Venita Akpofure, Bobby Michaels and Ini Edo.
The sole thing we don’t like about this poster is Joseph Benjamin’s dual appearance on it.
13. The First Lady
This is a Nigerian comedy produced by Omoni Oboli and it features Alexx Ekubo, Joseph Benjamin, Chinedu Ikedieze, Yvonne Jegede and many more.
We just love the fact that Omoni Oboli, with those killer eyes of hers, is standing alone in the middle of this poster. The chaos in the form of Lagos danfos, the Lekki-Ikoyi bridge and the buildings watch us from the background.
12. Grey Dawn
Grey Dawn is a Nigerian/Ghanaian partnership directed by Shirley Frimpong-Manso. Bimbo Manuel and Funlola Aofiyebi are Nigerian representatives on the project.
Who says grey cannot be attractive? They were wrong!
11. The Department
The Department is a 2015 romantic/action film starring Majid Michel, OC Ukeje, Desmond Elliot, Osas Ighodaro, Jide Kosoko, Seun Akindele, Somkele Iyamah and Funky Mallam.
Remi Vaughan-Richards directed it.
Even though bullets and guns do not make particularly great sights, we just think the way the red shoe sits on the pistol, with bullets around make this poster a particularly good sight.
10. The Antique
Iyore and The Antique make the list because of the fact that they were officially released in 2015.
The Antique is Daresen Richard’s debut and it got a few positive reviews on its release.
The faces on the poster are many, but they are well arranged.
9. Iyore
Frank Rajah Arase uses this movie to tell a story set in the old Benin kingdom. It features Rita Dominic, Yemi Blaq, Paul Obazele and more.
Iyore was released on May 8, 2015.
8. Fifty
It premiered in Lagos last Sunday after months of intense publicity and social media noise. The jury is still very much out over the film’s quality but Mo Abudu is unlikely to be bothered. She wanted to create the biggest “noise” of 2015. She succeeded.
Fine women all around. Just ensure you don’t get caught drooling in public. The poster’s design isn’t over-elaborate.
7. A Place Called Happy
A Place Called Happy was written, produced and directed by Dolapo Adeleke.
Simple, yet amazing design.
6. Road to Yesterday
With this movie, star actress Genevieve Nnaji announced her arrival on the film production scene. Many people think it is a great film, some don’t. Whatever your thoughts are, Road to Yesterday has earned Ishaya Bako an AMVCA best director nomination.
Only grouse…we can see a road, but where is the ‘yesterday’? Oh wait…
5. Dry
Stephanie Linus also made her production debut and with some style too. Dry‘s got a couple of AMVCA nominations on the table too.
This poster would have been perfect if the designer had excluded those three distracting faces below.
4. Falling
Another AMVCA-nominated movie, Fall features Adesua Etomi, Desmond Elliot, Blossom Chukwujekwu and it is a production of Closer Pictures.
My eyes, Adesua, alone…somewhere…dirty thoughts…let’s move on.
3. As Crazy as it Gets
Reel Pixel Films produced this Shittu Taiwo-directed flick. It features Omoni Oboli, Chucks Chyke, Titi Joseph and more.
Simple but great fonts, amazing pictures, quality arrangement. This is one damn good-looking poster.
2. Gbomo Gbomo Express
Walter Taylaur directed this thrilling movie.
This poster is just beautiful. Whether you’re a beer holder (beholder) or not, this poster just has to be cool in your eyes.
1. Taxi Driver
Femi Jacobs, Hafiz Oyetoro, Odunlade Adekola all feature in this comedy by Daniel Oriahi. It tells the story of a late cab driver’s son who comes to Lagos for greener pastures.
No matter what you’re up to, this poster grabs your attention because of the yellows of the cab and the font. Femi Jacobs’ head protruding in inquiry from the driver’s side adds to the comic feel of it.
God job, designer!
