
- She hails from Bayelsa state but was born in Lagos.
- Her father is a retired building contractor who once worked for Shell while her mum is a caterer.

- Dakore is the first child of 5 kids, she has 3 brothers and a sister.
- One of her brothers is Timini Egbuson popular for his role as Tobi in Shuga.
- Dakore attended Corona school in Lagos for her primary school education where she discovered her talents in entertainment. She had her secondary school at the Federal Government Girls College in Bauchi.
- After her diploma program at the University of Lagos, she got admitted to study Mass Communication but dropped out in the third year due to incessant strikes.
- After dropping out of Unilag, Dakore traveled to London and worked at BEN TV hosting a show alongside Ronke Apampa.
- While in London, Dakore also did music professionally performing with Tony Allen and Weird Mc.
- The movie, ‘She Devil’ in which she acted alongside Lilian Amah was one of her first movies but the movie which shot her to stardom was the 2003 production, Emotional cry.
- Dakore married her hubby, Olumide Akande, son of Nigerian billionaire businessman and politician, Harry Akande on January 17, 2011.
Dakore and Olu Akande - Together they have two lovely daughters.
- Dakore became the first Amnesty International ambassador in 2005.
- After a brief hiatus, she recently returned to the screen on the Ebony life production, ‘Fifty’ which also stars Ireti Doyle and Nse Ikpe-Etim.
