On January 22, 2016, music lovers woke up to reports that Davido has agreed to do a collaboration with Adekunle Gold via Twitter.
The musicians agreed to do the collaboration in less than ten minutes, following the request of social media influencer, Japheth Omojuwa.
One year on, fans of Davido and Adekunle Gold are still waiting for the music collaboration they promised, while others think it’s just another publicity stunt.

An insider told Thenetng: ‘Davido and Adekunle Gold are yet to do the collaboration due to their busy schedules.’
It’s also made known to us that Davido wants to be in the studio together with Adekunle when the song will be recorded. Adekunle has however suggested that they record the song from their various locations, but the idea wasn’t well received.
Last year, Davido signed a recording deal with SONY Music and also the released of his EP, ‘Gbagbe Oshi’. While Adekunle Gold released his debut album Gold, and his two-year recording contract with YBNL also expired in December.
We hope the collabo happens soon as they plan to kick off 2017 with good vibes.
