Popular South African hip pop act, Cassper Nyovest has pledged to donate proceedings of his show in Zimbabwe to the xenophobia victims and survivors lying in hospitals in South Africa.
This is despite several warnings from his mom, family and friends to cancel the gig, following the xenophobic attacks on foreigners from a local group of South Africans.
The attack was aimed mainly at African immigrants from Nigeria, Somali, Malawi, Zimbabwe and Ethiopia on Tuesday, April 14, 2015, by citizens complaining that the foreigners were depriving them of certain opportunities.
The ‘Doc Shebeleza’ singer confirmed via his Twitter account today, April 16, 2015, that his show is still on for Saturday, April 25, 2015, and that he will donate all proceedings to the victims of the attacks.
I do not support xenophobia, therefore my show in Zimbabwe is still on for the 25th of April. My Zimbabwean fans are gonna come to my show.
