Northern Irish professional golfer, Rory Mcllory has been named the RTE Sports Personality of the Year for the second time in four years.
The 25-year old was named ahead of Niamh Briggs, Seamus Coleman, Briege Corkery, Mark English, Carl Frampton, Michael McKillop, James O’Donoghue, Jonathan Sexton, Jason Smyth, Richie Hogan and Katie Taylor on Sunday, December 21, 2014 at the RTE gala
Rory Mcllory, who enjoyed a remarkable 2014, winning two Majors, the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational and the Race to Dubai, last won the RTE award back in 2011.
