Rihanna says she never ‘campaigned’ to be a role model.
The 25-year-old singer, who regularly posts pictures of herself posing topless and smoking marijuana online, has hit back at critics for branding her a bad influence on her young fans.
While admitting she isn’t perfect, she has ‘no regrets about how she lives her life’.
The hitmaker wrote in reaction to an article by British journalist Elizabeth Ann Jones and published in the Daily Mail, Riri wrote on Instagram on June 25, 2013:
‘Nobody over here acts like they’re perfect! I don’t pretend that I’m like you, i just live… My life!! And I don’t know why y’all still act so surprised by any of it!! ‘Role Model’ is not a position or title that I have ever campaigned for, so chill wit dat! I got my own f***ed up s**t to work on, I’ll never portray that as perfect, but for right now it’s ME!! Call it what ya want!! Toxic was cute, Poisonous Pop Princess had a nice ring to it, just a lil wordy! (Sic)’
Rihanna, who is single again after splitting from Chris Brown (again) earlier this year, is currently on her ‘Diamonds’ world tour.
She recently posted pictures online of herself smoking in a cafe in Amsterdam with the caption ‘Legalise it’.
