A Ghanaian has been identified among the 21 Egyptian Christian workers beheaded by Jihadist rebels in Libya.
According to footage released by the terrorist group, Islamic State of Iraq and Levant (ISIL) on Monday, February 16, 2015, the gruesome killing was reported to have occurred in January 2015.
The victim from Ghana, whose real name is Mathew Ayariga, was a construction worker arrested on his way Tripoli from Ghana and was executed in the Libya City of Sirte.
Reports indicate the the Egyptian government has confirmed the authenticity of the chilling footage released on Sunday in which the workers are all dressed in orange jump suits and beheaded near a waterfront said to be located in the Libyan province of Tripoli.
