While most women are almost ruled out of being able to give birth once they cross the 40-year age barrier, a 44-year old Nigerian woman, identified as Clara Dominique has been delivered of a set of quadruplets.
What’s more interesting even is that the children have come after 18 years of childlessness!
Clara, who got married in 1996, gave birth to three girls and a boy on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at the Graceland Medical Centre in Benin City, Edo State.
Speaking on the birth of her children, the excited mother said: ‘I am happy that my husband and I were able to stay together till this day to witness the blessings of the Lord. My husband has been encouraging me that God would do it for us. My husband never contemplated driving me away.’
‘I was happy when the scan showed it was four. Sometimes I thought of how I would carry the four of them. I have not seen somebody else who was delivered of four babies. It was not easy for me to carry the pregnancy. At a time, the weight was much for me.’
