A new generation of talented Nigerian comedians are coming up at a commendable rate, following the path being created by seasoned comedians; Ali Baba, AY Makun, Basketmouth and many others.

1. EmmaOhMaGod
Emmanuel Edunjobi is a talented musician, comedian and compere, who has became one of the most prominent household names amongst his peers. Though he has gained massive popularity, he is yet to rank amongst the popular A-listers. He has set his foot on a great path nonetheless.
2. Twyse
Though he claims NOT to be a comedian, Twyse commands a respectable social media following and popularity. He has quickly become a household name with his acting series as Taofeek and Edo Boy.
3. Kenny Blaq
Just like comedian Julius Agwu, Kenny Blaq’s comedy is centered around his ability to craft the funniest jokes with music. He continues to gain reputation for his brand of comedy and quite rightly has bright days ahead.
4. Laff Doctor
A top ten finalist at Nigeria’s Got Talent Season 2, Laff Doctor is quickly becoming one of the brightest prospects in the comedy industry.

Also walking in the big shoes of Julius Agwu in music-comedy is Kelvin Sapp, who has released comedy albums, Lafta Medical Lab and Endtime Comedy.
8. MC Bluetooth
An Imo State native, MC Bluetooth’s journey into comedy started eight years ago. Real name Joseph Ahanonu, the comedian, compere and actor has anchored many gigs across the country and is still on his way to ranking as an A-list comedian in the industry.
9. Aboki4Christ
Olufemi Olusesi known as Aboki4Christ is another fast-rising Nigerian comedian whose style of comedy borrows heavily from gospel. He has an annual music and comedy show titled Medicinal Laffta with Aboki 4 Christ.
10. MC Daniboy aka Corporate Madman
Self-proclaimed ‘corporate madman’ is an undergraduate of Banking and Finance who has started cutting his teeth in the comedy industry with his staged comedy concert tagged ‘Corporate Comedy & Varieties With MC Daniboy’.
