In celebration of International Women’s Month this March, Kiekie shared some powerful words of wisdom for women in the entertainment industry. When asked for her top tip for ladies trying to balance it all, Kiekie’s answer was both simple and profound: “Focus on you. as there is only one of you. You’re one of one.”
Kiekie went on to explain that each individual is uniquely created by God with their own set of talents. “God is so creative that He created all of us with unique skill sets,” she said. “Everything I can do is a combination of what two or three people can also do, and yet, there are things only I can do.”
She emphasized the importance of embracing one’s individuality and avoiding comparisons. “Everything another person can do is also the combination of what maybe another person can do, but there are a few things they can only do as well. You need to focus on yourself.”
Kiekie warned that losing sight of your own path and chasing someone else’s dreams can lead to dissatisfaction. “If you let yourself get carried away and start chasing what someone else is chasing, you’re going to lose it.”
