3D animation has become an aspect of virtual reality that produces great entertainment for millions around the world.
Toy Story, The Incredibles, Frozen, Finding Nemo, Despicable Me, Shrek and more are some of the most popular 3D animations ever.
And it just doesn’t stop at popularity. All together, these films have grossed billions of dollars at the box office.
So imagine the possibilities when a couple of Nigerians get people excited with their short 3D animation flick.
Created by Eri Umusu and Nurdin Momodu, Play Thing is a short animation that shows the regular day of a Nigerian boy become surreal when two of his toys – one of them condemned to the bin – come to life and engage in a combat right before his unbelieving eyes.
There’s also the bit where we hear an indigenous language – Yoruba – spoken, as well as where the pencil … how cool can being Nigerian get?
Some have expressed how impressed they are, including music star Ycee.
