There’s a total of eight nominations between three Nigerian stars – Ycee, Simi and Patoranking – and they are super excited about it.
Rising rapper, Ycee, who got a nod in the Best Hip Hop category says, ‘In just one year, I went from tagging along with Patoranking to pick up a MAMA last year to ending up with the opportunity of bagging my own, it’s so amazing.’
Sweet voiced singer, Simi is nominated in the Best Breakthrough Act category and she says, ‘for me, this nomination is a win.‘
For Patoranking, who won ‘Best New Act’ in the 2015 edition, he finds himself with ‘Song of the Year’ and ‘Artiste of the Year’ nominations this year.
