Radio presenter Yaw has told NET that contrary to rumours flying round, he’s ‘not planning to leave Wazobia FM’.
The beloved OAP, who found fame with his daily show on the popular station, has had to cope with rumours he’s dumping the station for start-up Naija FM (believed to be owned by former Cool FM GM Chris Ubosi).
With Naija FM’s sister station Beat 99.9 already home to former Cool FM voices Olisa Adibua and Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi, it seemed natural for many to think Ubosi would go for Wazobia’s best hands, to draw listenership to Naija FM.
Naija FM’s broadcast style and programming is similar to Wazobia – with both seeking to cater for a large audience base usually taken for granted by most radio stations.
‘I’m here o. There’s nothing like that my brother’ Yaw, who’s also an accomplished stage actor and master of ceremonies told NET
