Nude photos of Croatia‘s World Cup team swimming naked has been leaked and gone viral on the web.
After their 3 – 1 defeat to hosts Brazil on Thursday, June 12, 2014, the team decided to go skinny dipping in their hotel pool at the Praia do Forte base. Unknown to them, a cameraman who happened to be at the hotel, saw them and took some photos.
The Croatia’s players have refused to talk to World Cup reporters after photos were published of them bathing nude in the team’s swimming pool.
However, Croatia coach, Niko Kovac, was quick to justify his team’s reaction, saying: ‘I can’t force them to be at your disposal after what you have done to them and their families. How would you feel if someone took naked pictures of you? They are adamant that they won’t speak to you lot anymore and I don’t know whether the silence will end tomorrow or last until the end of our World Cup campaign. I respect my players’ opinion and I also know that you have done a very professional job so far but you blew it with this one. The whole world has seen the photos.’
Croatia will take on the Cameroonian side today, June 18, 2014 at 11pm in their second group stage tournament.
