Klose, 36, who leveled with Brazilian legend Ronaldo when he scored his 15th goal against Ghana in the group stages, scored his 16th goal against the host country Brazil on Tuesday, July 8, 2014, to become the competition’s all time leading scorer.
The striker, who has also became the first player to appear in four World Cup semifinals, scored five goals in 2002, five in 2006, where he also won the Golden Boot, and scored four in South Africa in 2010.
