FIFA could consider an investigation against Germany fans for wearing black face in Germany’s match with Ghana.
The photo, which went viral on social media networks, was of two German fans that painted their faces black and wore black wigs and sunglasses to the match on Saturday, June 21, 2014.
Speaking with The Guardian, a FIFA spokeswoman said: ‘We always take any evidence or submissions to our disciplinary committee. It is the disciplinary committee that will meet. If they see any grounds they will open proceedings. Then it is up to the disciplinary commission to take the decision.’
The match, between the Germans and the Black stars of Ghana ended with a 2 – 2 draw.
