The first penalty shoot-out of the World Cup went down this evening between Brazil and Chile with the host nation winning!
The second round match started with an early goal from Brazil courtesy David Luiz, with Chile’s Sanchez equalizing for the South-American team.
The match went into extra time and finally into a penalty shoot-out with Brazil winning 3-2.
Brazil advances to the quarter-finals and will face the winner of the Colombia vs Uruguay match.
