Argentina went up against the Netherlands on Wednesday, July 9, 2014 in Sao Paulo, with a goalless draw at the end of the second half forcing the teams into a penalty shootout.
The South Americans won 4 – 2 in the shootout to advance to the final stage.
Argentina will face Germany on Sunday, July 13, 2014, at the Maracana stadium, Brazil, while Netherland will battle for third place with host country Brazil on Saturday, July, 12, 2014.
