Ana Trujillo has been sentenced to life in prison for stabbing her boyfriend Alf Stefan Andersson with her five and a half inch stilettos.
The incident occurred in Stefan’s Houston condominium in June last year, after both partners were involved in an argument Defense attorneys argued that Trujillo, 45, was defending herself from an attack by Andersson, who was a University of Houston professor and researcher.
Trujillo, in her statement before the judge passed the verdict, said it was unintentional.
‘I never meant to hurt him. It was never my intent. I loved him. I wanted to get away. I never wanted to kill him,’ she said.
Andersson’s niece, lva Olofsson, who was devastated by Anderson’s death, said the family was pleased with the outcome of the trial.
‘My uncle was a great man. He was kind. He didn’t deserve what happened to him. We are happy that justice is served.’
