Manchester United won their first major title under Jose Mourinho on August 7 at the Wembley Stadium in England.
Zlatan Ibrahimović saved the day for the Red Devils with a late goal against Premier League champions Leicester City in the Community Shield match.
Jesse Lingard put Man United ahead in the first-half with a solo effort, before a 52nd minute equaliser by Jamie Vardy had restored parity for Leicester.

Mourinho told BT Sport after their win, ‘It’s an important victory but we have lots of work to do. I would be not ambitious if I said it was a fantastic performance. It wasn’t. It’s always important to start with a trophy.
‘Zlatan will be more dangerous when we are more dominant and play closer to the box. He’s not a fast player like Jamie Vardy, who can play 50 yards from the box.
‘He needs the team to play and produce chances for him. We need to change this.’
On July 1 2016, Ibrahimović signed as a free agent for Manchester United on a one-year contract, with his weekly salary valued £200,000.
He will be wearing the ‘number 9’ jersey during 2016–17 season.

Recall that Zlatan and Mourinho, who at the time took over from Roberto Mancini, had a good relationship at Italian club Inter Milan during 2008-09 season, winning the Seria A title and also lifting Supercoppa Italiana.
However, Mourinho in his second season swapped Ibrahimović for Barcelona’s Cameroonian striker Samuel Eto’o and a reported £35 million transfer fee was also paid to Inter – NOW THEY’RE BACK TOGETHER!

But do you think he can emulate United’s heroes like Roy Keane, George Best, Ruud van Nistelrooy, David Beckham and Cristiano Ronaldo with Mourinho as manager?
