Weeks after Nigerian pop star Wizkid broke the internet with his cover photo on a toilet seat for FAB magazine, the ‘Shabba’ singer lands on the cover of yet another entertainment magazine in style.
Expensive sh!t: Knocks and kudos for Wizkid as he poses on toilet seat
This time an art illustration of Wizkid covers the latest edition of Mystreetz magazine.
Explaining the concept of the cover, Sesan Adeniji, publisher of Mystreetz says, ‘All over the world, artists are contributing massively to the GDP of their country. Here in Africa and especially in Nigeria, we also have extremely creative artists whose works are influencing the art and entertainment industry for a while. The works of these sets of guys can also be exported to the rest of the world’.
He continued to say, ‘If Americans are selling their super heroes like Superman, Batman and X-men, we can also create Naija super heroes for the world to see. This edition is all about showcasing some of the artists who have been working hard for this to be possible. Creating illustrations and drawing conclusions – a story on some of today’s artists using traditional or new media to generate mind-blowing pieces in the art/entertainment circle.
