By 5pm today, Neusroom will be unveiling the Neusroom 100 project celebrating people, organisations, countries, and things helping the world conquer the deadly COVID-19 that has altered the way of life across the world.
On the list, which will be released at 5 pm on all social media platforms of Neusroom, are 40 people, 30 organisations, 20 countries, and 10 things that have played a critical role in the fight against coronavirus.
Some of the people on the list are silent workers behind the global success of the fight against the pandemic. In a world where people doing the extraordinary hardly get noticed until their death, Neusroom has said it believes these people should not only be noticed when things go wrong or when we lose them while doing the extraordinary, it is important to celebrate the unsung heroes when they are still living.
The list comprises health workers, scientists, philanthropists, volunteers, world leaders, organisations, countries, and things working in numerous, diverse and unique roles to help the world win the fight against the unseen enemy.
Explaining why Neusroom is celebrating the unsung heroes, Femi Falodun, CEO of ID Africa, said the Neusroom 100 project was created as a celebration of hope, and an acknowledgment of humanity’s collective will to survive.
The 100 people, organisations, countries, and things listed on the project, each in their unique way, are playing important roles to end the COVID-19 pandemic.
