In his words, ‘Although I sympathize with Koffi Olomide and his family as he faces a year in prison for assaulting a dancer, I feel the need to draw attention to the consequences of violence towards women. It’s a pity that Koffi Olomide has become a scapegoat for a crime many men are guilty of’.
‘However, such a high profile case would help enlighten the male public on the negative aftermath of such an action, and possibly serve as a deterrent for future offenders. Perpetrators of violence against men too should seize this opportunity to realize that the end result of violence is never pleasant’.
