People are so ridiculous. I just read a post and watched a short video clip Silverbird Cinemas put up about a movie coming out soon. An infertile couple hires a surrogate to birth their child but the surrogate becomes increasingly obsessed with the husband and wahala starts.
I’m thinking, ‘ok, looks interesting.’ The post clearly states the name of the movie, When The Bough Breaks. It clearly states when the movie would start showing in the cinemas, September 16 and also clearly and explicitly states that the movie would be shown at all Silverbird Cinema branches.
But people are on that post making comments like…
‘Nice movie. What’s the name?’
‘Will it show in Silberbird Ikeja?’
‘When will it start showing?’
‘Will it show in Silverbird Accra?’
‘It looks good. What’s the name of the movie?’
‘What date will it start showing?’
And I’m here wondering why people are so stupid. You write decently enough. You use a smartphone for fuck sakes. This is 2016 for the love of God. How can you be this dense?
And it’s not just this. I see it everytime. Phones are getting smarter but people are getting dumber. You’ll see a job vacancy asking explicitly for someone with Electrical Engineering experience and one bozo will comment, ‘I read Public Administration. Pls, how do I apply?’
A post was put up recently about some opportunities in the agricultural sector. The email address was repeated thrice in the post. Thrice! Yet people were still asking for the email address so they could make enquiries. Why are you so foolish?
It is very annoying. Extremely.
Did you not write exams? Did you not write JAMB? Didn’t you read the comprehension passage before answering the questions that followed it? Did you answer the questions with your own questions? How are you even an adult? How did you graduate from school?
I’m sorry but this shit rankles like mad. It is super annoying.
