Famous American singer Prince was found dead at his Paisley Park compound in Minnesota early this morning, April 21, 2016.
His publicist Yvette Noel-Schure said in a statement: ‘It is with profound sadness that I am confirming that the legendary iconic performer, Prince, has died at his Paisley Park residence this morning at the age of 57.’

Nigerians, South Africans, Kenyans, Ghanaians and more have joined over 4 million people already talking about the passing of ‘Purple Rain’ singer on Twitter, even as more fans are coming to terms with the shocking news on radio, Facebook and Instagram.
The shocking news comes after Prince was rushed to hospital on April 15 with a severe bout of flu, after weeks fighting the virus.
Prince won seven Grammy awards during his lifetime, and he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004. He was for a minute, a Michael Jackson competitor and his career only stagnated after legal label battles that affected his identity.
See for yourself, what Africans are saying about the death of the American singer…
