Manchester City and West Ham are planning a tribute for former player Marc-Vivien Foe.
Foe was a Cameroonian player who collapsed in a Confederations match involving Cameroon and Colombia on June 26, 2003. He died hours after.
West Ham signed Foe in 1999 but later moved to Lyon in 2000. He joined City in 2002 on loan. During his stay in City he scored 9 times and was the last player to score at City’s former stadium. Since his death his number 23 jersey has been retired.
No concrete plan has been developed yet but fans of both teams have been throwing in ideas on how to best remember the player. The hashtag #RememberFoeOn23 has started popping up on the social site Twitter
