Manchester United skipper, Wayne Rooney has been named the England Player of the Year.
The England skipper, gearing up for the Euro 2016 qualifier against Lithuania, was named earlier today, March 24, 2015 at a training session after votes by fans across the country declared him winner of the accolade.
Chelsea’s youth star, Dominic Solanke also benefited from the award by scooping the ‘Young Player of the Year award.
