
Nigeria’s Ejowvokoghene Oduduru has qualified for the semi-finals of the men’s 200m at the 2016 Olympics Games in Rio.
Oduduru, who went viral off an interview given after winning gold at the 2015 African Junior Championships, finished second in Heat 9 behind Jamaica’s Usain Bolt in a time of 20.34 seconds.

Bolt led the group with a time of 20.28s and will compete in the semi-finals tomorrow, August 17 at the Olympic Stadium.
Meanwhile, Blessing Okagbare has made the women’s 200m semi-finals after coming tops in Heat 5, clocking 22.71s.

Nigerians remain hopeful the contingent to Rio will win medals before the end of the Games.
