Kenyan runner, Dennis Kimetto has broken the world record at the 2014 Berlin marathon, winning the race in a time of 2 hours, 2 minutes and 57 seconds.
The 30-year-old who ran 26.2 miles a full 26 seconds faster than ever before on Sunday, September 28, 2014, broke away in a seven-man group, including fellow Kenyans Emmanuel Mutai and Geoffrey Kamworor.
Kimetto pulled clear from his compatriots in the latter stages to become the first man to complete the race in less than two hours and three minutes
