Nigeria failed to qualify but football fans in Ivory Coast had the best night in a while after qualifying on Wednesday, November 19, 2014 as they invaded the pitch in their hundreds to celebrate their team.
The fans, who turned out watch their team play against Cameroon at the Abidjan stadium, couldn’t hold back their joy after the match ended in a goalless draw, which meant Ivory Coast, with a total of 10 points had qualified behind Cameroon who topped the group with 14 points.
Meanwhile, no casualty has been reported with policemen taking charge of proceedings immediately to chase out the invaders.
