The match between Nigeria and Hungary at the ongoing FIFA U-20 World Cup in New Zealand took place early this morning.
The match was tough but prolific striker, Taiwo Awoniyi scored two goals for the Flying Eagles to ensure there are no doubts about their qualification for the Round of 16. His goals came in the 33rd and 54th minutes and tried as they could, the Hungarians could not find a way into the match.
Nigeria qualified behind Brazil in Group E with 6 points and will now face Germany in the next round.
Commenting on the match today, Manu Garba, coach of the Flying Eagles, said the team is looking forward to the next match as he described today’s match as ‘a very good match for us.’
