Hours after news flooded the internet that radio personality and author, Lenard Larry McKelvey, professionally known as Charlamagne Tha god, allegedly “raped” his wife during their first sexual encounter, the radio personality decided to call his wife Jessica Gadsden on air to clarify her position.
The allegation stemmed from a conversation on rape culture Charlemagne had on the ‘Brilliant Idiots’ Podcast where admitted that when he and his wife first had sex, they were both “super young and super super drunk”.
Jessica confirmed over the phone that the encounter was indeed consensual. She even went on to reveal that they both waited an entire year before kissing.
