Media practitioner Nzau Kalulu has been reported dead.
The veteran journalist/broadcaster, Nzau Kalulu passed on few days ago after battling diabetes, kidney failure and toe amputation. During an interview before his death, he told Citizentv what he went through in the midst of his challenges.
Kalulu battled Kidney failure in 1999 which resulted from his prior diabetes and in 2001, he travelled to India for a kidney transplant.
In 2009 while on routine check-up in India, he stumbled and injured his toe which later resulted to an infection that left the doctors with no other option than amputation.
Regarded as a legend in Kenya, Kalulu worked as a long time presenter of the famous Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) and a radio personality hosting the show ‘sundown’. He was also a jolly fellow and one-time head of Musyi FM.
Kalulu’s burial arrangement is yet-to-be disclosed by his family members.
