Nigeria-born American actress, Uzo Aduba won the first award at last night’s Screen Actors Guild Award.
The Orange Is the New Black actress won the award for Female Actor in a Comedy Series.
The actress dropped orange for yellow, as she stunned in an Angel Sanchez Spring 2015 gown with crisscross bodice detailing. Her jewels were demoted to a simple pair of earrings and a bracelet, whilst styling her hair into a sleek updo.
Aduba gave a speech which was full of emotions as she thanked her family, friends and co-stars. She also took to the stage when Orange Is the New Black won for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.
