If you are gay, lesbian or generally homophobic, and you reside in the United States of America then this is some good news for you.
The U.S. Supreme Court today, June 26, 2015 has ruled in a 5-4 decision that gay marriage is acceptable to the laws of the land. The landmark ruling says the Fourteenth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution guarantees gays and lesbians must have the same right to marry as heterosexuals.
The justices also ruled in the issue that has bitterly divided the nation that states without gay-marriage laws on the books must recognise gay marriages performed in other states.
