
Nigeria’s senior national team, Super Eagles failed to soar as they played against an agitated Taifa Stars of Tanzania in an AFCON qualifying match.
The Eagles struggled to maintain a goalless draw with Nigeria’s debuting goalie, Carl Ikeme saving the day. The Wolverhampton Wanderers goalkeeper on several occasions saved the Ahmed Musa captained side to eventually get a goalless draw.
Despite the result, the Super Eagles currently top Group G with 4 points. Sunday game between Chad and Egypt will however determine the group leader ahead of the next round of AFCON qualifiers.
