Sources close to the family say Sofoluwe was rushed to LUTH last night as his health condition worsened. He then suffered from cardiac arrest and was pronounced dead by 1AM.
The professor recently celebrated his 62nd birthday on April 16.
‘He was a friendly man, always cheerful, we will miss him’, a UNILAG student told NET.
Sofoluwe was appointed the 10th Vice-Chancellor of the University of Lagos with effect from 31st January, 2010.
