It’s the last day for group stage games in the ongoing 2015/16 UEFA Champions League competition, and some famous clubs will be evicted if they fail to impress in the ongoing games tonight.
While some might be joining the likes of Man United, Sevilla, Galatasaray and Shakhtar Donetsk at the Europa League, others won’t be able to continue their dream to win one of the two UEFA competitions this season.
Group E: Roma, Bayern Leverkusen, BATE Borisov – who will qualify?
FC Barcelona leads the group with 13 points and have already qualified, while Roma and Bayern Leverkusen having 5 points each, while BATE Borisov is at the 4th position with 4points from five games.
Whoever win the Roma VS BATE clash will proceed to round of 16 if Bayern Leverkusen fail to defeat FC Barcelona. Leverkusen will gladly qualify if its competitors end up getting a point each.
Group G: How Arsenal can qualify to the round of 16
Arsenal FC will be proceeding to the Round of 16 if they defeat Olympiakos at the Karaiskakis Stadium, with two clear goals or on the head-to-head. Olympiakos won 3-2 at the Emirates stadium in September.
German club Bayern Munich top the group and have already secured a space in the next stage of the competition
Group G: Chelsea, Porto, Dynamo Kiev – who will be kicked out?
Chelsea and Porto have a 50/50 chance to qualify as whoever wins would lead the group to the round of 16. Dynamo Kiev will be proceeding to the next round, if they successfully defeat Maccabi who only got zero point after five games. If the game between Chelsea and Porto end with a tie, the Blues will be qualifying on goal aggregates alongside Dynamo whose best option is to win.
Gent and Valencia on a likely 50/50 chance
Zenith tops the group with 15points, while Gent and Valencia have 7 and 6 points each. A coincident win or draw between both teams will see Gent proceed to the Round of 16, but if Gent lost the group leader and Valencia FC defeats Lyon, the Spanish team will be the rightful team to advance to the next stage of the competition.
