Tunde Babalola has been nominated for the best writer in a movie or TV series award alongside Chigozirim Nwanegbo, Frank Uba, Toluwani Obayan, Tunray Femi, Abosi Ogba and Manie Oiseomaye at the AMVCA8.
Babalola was nominated for La Femme Anjola, Obayan was selected for This Lady Called Life, Femi for For Maria: Ebun Pataki, Nwanegbo was chosen for One Lagos Night, Oiseomaye for Introducing the Kujus, Uba for Amina Ogba for Little Black Book.
The award ceremony is coming after a one-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The last edition was won by Nicole Asinugo and CJ Obasi for Living In Bondage: Breaking Free. Other nominees were BB Sasore for God Calling, Tosin Igho for Seven, Vanessa Kanu for Sylvia, Biodun Stephen for Joba and Akay Mason and Yusuf Carew for Elevator Baby.
AMVCA 8 will be a week-long event featuring a series of activities. The week-long event begins with the opening night on Sunday, May 7 and will run through May 14, when the award night will hold in Lagos.
