Rising comedian, Chinedu Paul was reportedly mistaken for a member of the Badoo gang in Ikorodu and as a result, lynched by a mob.
Paul was heading back from a show when his car broke down, with eyewitnesses saying he was held by the mob.
The mob is said to have presumed he was a member of the Badoo gang because he had engine oil in his car and something that looked like a grinding stone – items the gang members use in killing their victims.
He and two others were immediately burnt to death.
