Toke Makinwa’s husband, Maje Ayida, is so passionate about breast cancer to the extent that he is leading the line of a breast cancer awareness event coming up in October.
The event, put together as part of the global awareness on breast cancer by Pink Pearl Foundation, a public service charity organization championing women empowerment in the fight against breast cancer, is the maiden one-day programme tagged ‘Pink Hope PFF’
Billed to hold on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at the Civic Center in Lagos, the event presents an informative and interactive seminar to focus on areas including psychology, well-being, therapy, body aesthetics & recreation programs.
Orode Ryan Okpu, CEO of Pink Pearl Foundation, said ‘The most significant progress we have made to reduce death rate from cancer is through early detection; this yields better long term outcomes and lower morbidity rates.’
According to her, the programme will be anchored by the foundation’s ambassadors including Banke Meshida-Lawal, Leila Fowler, Ayida and others.
Hope Session is a breast cancer support group designed to provide psychological help to breast cancer patients and survivors.
