Africa’s leading OAP and resident ‘baby girl for life’, Toke Makinwa, took to social media to celebrate her NET Honours win for ‘Most Popular Female Media Personality’ at this year’s edition of NET Honours People’s Choice Awards.
Since the entrepreneur first ventured on air, she hasn’t stopped working, growing or learning. Her social media platform keeps getting bigger and stronger, and her brand more recognisable. From running her Youtube vlog, Toke Moments, to managing her luxury goods and beauty products line, Toke is the definition of a hard-working queen.
Celebrating on her Instagram page, Toke said, “365 days and we still on TOP 🔝. This means more than you know, mentally I’ve been drained. I wish I could tell you guys half of it but just know it’s not as easy as it looks. Sometimes I don’t even know what I’m doing. I think the key is to always wake up and show up. Show up even when you don’t know how it’ll work; show up. Show up for yourself, show up for your dreams, and if it doesn’t work, at least you tried. We don’t exist in “if”, though; we brave it through the seasons till it works out. What am I even saying? 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉Thank you guys, thank you @thenetng.”
