‘Ties that Bind’ the 2011 movie starring Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde is set to premiere on Friday, June 1, 2012 at the Silverbird Cinemas.
The movie also stars popular Hollywood actress Kimberly Elise who is known for her role in the movies, ‘Set It Off’, ‘John Q’ and ‘Diary of a Mad Black Woman’, and Ghollywood stars John Dumelo and Nadia Buari.
For the next couple of months, the movie will screen at various film festivals including the Pan African film Festival in Los Angeles, USA (February 2012) and the New African Films Festival in Maryland, (March 2012.)
‘Ties that Bind’ tells a story of three women from different walks of life bound together by the same pain; the loss of a child. This leads to all three women meeting as they journey together in love, life and forgiveness in the process of renovating a dilapidated clinic for the inhabitant of a small village called ‘Kroboland’.
The movie is profiled by the producer of Star Trek series for Paramount Pictures, Rick Berman; written and directed by American/Ghanaian film maker, Leila Djansi.
